Hi, I'm Karen, the resident colour guru at Salon Tallow.

I love the impact a colour change can have on a person and I was inspired to master the art. And the science. Anyone who has ever had a toner come out throwing green or orange knows how important it is to get the mix right!

So I took up an opportunity with Wella, working as a colour technical specialist. This phenomenal experience left me with skilled hands, a head full of ideas and a great friend, in our very own Kylie. In fact, people often mistake me for her when I'm out getting my morning coffee. It's tempting to make mischief with the confusion but I ve resisted so far.

Like the rest of the team, my 30-year career in hair dressing has taken me in and out of the salon. Starting as a salon owner, I've worked in the UK and locally, leaving a trail of happy customers in my global wake.

Now I'm a fully indoctrinated Pensinula local and couldn't be happier.
